The #WIPjoy hashtag and prompts were started by writer Bethany Jennings. It made for a really nice little community of people encouraging one another. The writing community at large is very supportive, and #WIPjoy was all about the love.
The featured image above is the Father’s Day gift I gave to my dad this year. I commissioned a cover purely for private use and got a single copy of the manuscript printed and bound at the office store. My dad is one of my biggest supporters, so it’s nice to be able to show him I am making progress even if I haven’t landed a book deal yet.
(I realize this is two Storify posts rather close together, and I don’t plan to do that in future. Regular programming to resume shortly.)
